1. Nature of the service

Law Portal is an intermediary platform connecting clients seeking legal services with lawyers licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Justice. The platform itself does not provide legal advice or opinion, and is not a substitute for the direct professional relationship between a client and the lawyer delivering the service.

2. Accounts and verification

Users must provide accurate information at registration. Every lawyer's registration is subject to an administrative review of their Ministry of Justice licence before their profile appears in the directory or they may receive any request. The platform reserves the right to reject or suspend any account that submits inaccurate licence information.

3. Payment and commission

A client's funds are held in escrow until the service is complete or a price offer is accepted, then released to the lawyer net of the platform's agreed commission. A tax invoice is issued for every completed payment under Saudi VAT regulation.

4. Cancellation and refunds

If a lawyer declines a paid request, the full amount is automatically refunded to the client. Cancellations after service delivery has begun are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

5. Limitation of liability

The platform is responsible for the reliable operation of its technical service (payment, messaging, scheduling), and is not responsible for the quality or outcome of the legal consultation or service delivered by a lawyer, which remains that lawyer's direct professional responsibility to the client.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

7. Account deletion

Any user may request account deletion at any time from their account settings, subject to retaining financial records for the period required by law.
